About Marshall Arts

Marshall Arts is a multidisciplinary creative brand founded by New York-based artist Artitokes, built on the belief that art should be seen, felt, and experienced.
With over 15 years of painting experience and more than a decade actively exhibiting work across New York City, Artitokes has developed a distinctive style rooted in texture, emotion, and physical depth. Her work has been featured in institutions such as Harlem Hospital, the Brooklyn Museum, and various galleries throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, Harlem, and the Bronx.
Raised in a large East Coast family and the child of a computer engineer and programmer alongside a homemaker, her background blends technical precision with raw creativity. She began drawing at a young age and went on to attend art school at 16, later continuing her studies in fine art while actively creating and selling work.

Experience & Community

Artitokes spent over five years deeply embedded in Brooklyn’s live art scene, consistently participating in and organizing weekly events such as Paint and Poetry. During this time, she live painted, competed in art battles, and exhibited work multiple times per week, building both skill and community.
Her work extends beyond galleries into public and community spaces. She contributed to the Langston Hughes Project in Brownsville—where her painted designs still remain—and has worked with organizations like New York Cares to create murals in schools, bringing color and creativity into educational environments. She has also spent years teaching art through after-school programs.

The Work
Marshall Arts centers around texture as language.
Inspired by tactile systems like braille and the idea of art that can be both visually and physically experienced, Artitokes incorporates unconventional materials such as chains, fabric, plastics, and layered mediums to create depth and dimension.
Her subjects range from musicians, actors, and cultural figures to landscapes and florals, often executed in bold, dramatic textures. Each piece balances speed and precision—capturing energy while maintaining craftsmanship.

The Brand
Founded officially in 2020, Marshall Arts began through live-stream painting sessions, where Artitokes created full works from blank canvas to completion in real time every Saturday.
Today, the brand continues to evolve—offering:

Collaborative collections
Work from emerging artists without storefront access

Philosophy

From painting and sculpture to music, textiles, and design, Marshall Arts exists as a space for expression without boundaries.
